Arpino Dance Festival
Lauded as “a distinctly American choreographer” with “seemingly unstoppable creativity” (The New York Times), choreographer Gerald Arpino left an enduring legacy of work.
This fall, the Gerald Arpino Foundation, in partnership with the Joyce Theater, is presenting the Arpino Dance Festival, a rousing array of Arpino’s signature works, including some that have not been seen in New York City for more that 30 years.
Running September 30 through October 12, the festival features a lineup of world-class artists, including The Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Ballet West, Oklahoma City Ballet, and Artistic Ventures in Dance (AVID). AVID is thrilled to be presenting the iconic & exciting Confetti and comedic pas de deux Valentine.

As Boulder’s newest dance organization, AVID is thrilled present the world premiere screening of ‘Impulse’, an new work by Quinn Wharton featuring Artists of AVID Dance, as part of Boulder Arts Week.
Join us Friday, April 11th, from 3:30-5:00 at Kiln (2101 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302). The film will begin at 4pm, followed by a meet & greet with director Emily Speed and some of our artists!

AVID Dance: Art in Movement
We invite you to join us for a breathtaking performance by AVID Dance Company. AVID Dance is a Colorado based, emerging professional dance company, which recently premiered their inaugural season in New York City. Together with the Town of Avon, AVID Dance presents an interactive community-based production showcasing a wide range of repertoire from classical ballet to contemporary and modern dance. AVID Dance is creating a path of accessibility for local communities. Audience members will enjoy an interactive session and invited to join in a guided movement session and explore the depths of their capacity to be MOVED….through dance!

Emily Speed's bold new company, AVID Dance presents ART that MOVES
`Artistic Ventures in Dance' is honored to be performing at the Newman Center September 6th. The evening will consist of works by American choreographers past and present. The evening will include commissioned works by Quinn Wharton & Ursula Verduzco as well as a brand new score by composer Anne-Marie Keane. To honor the legacy of classical dance, AVID will present Gerald Arpino's Italian Suite staged by Valerie Madonia. Choreographer Daniel Ojeda will stage his acclaimed work Persona with support from the The Alexa Rose Foundation. Additional works by Emily Speed and Jonatan Lujan, as well as an original composition by Asher Komor will also be presented. These works will be accompanied with live music by The Playground Ensemble.
